đź’ˇA new Wellness Sunday idea for you..

Happy Sunday, Reader!

I hope you are enjoying a lovely, relaxing Easter weekend.

Anyone who has ever had a fresh bouquet of flowers in their home already knows this:

They change something.

The room feels softer.
Your mood lifts.
You pause a little more.

It’s subtle… but it’s real.

And what I found fascinating this week is that this isn’t just anecdotal.

Sunday Wellness Tip: Fresh Flower Change Your Mood - STUDY

There was actually a Harvard-affiliated study that found fresh flowers in your home:

✨ Increase energy and enthusiasm
✨ Reduce feelings of anxiety and stress
✨ And most interesting to me…
✨ Increase feelings of compassion and kindness toward others

Kindness.

Isn’t that beautiful?

Because if I’m honest…

As much as I LOVE LOVE LOVE flowers, I sometimes hesitate to buy them.

They can feel… frivolous.

Like,
“Should I really spend money on something that just sits there and looks pretty?”

Especially when there are always more practical things to buy.

But this shifted something for me.

Because flowers aren’t just decoration.

They’re an input.

They gently shape your environment…
which gently shapes your nervous system…
which quietly shapes how you feel and how you show up.

And if something in your home can:

  • lift your mood
  • soften your stress
  • and even make you a little more patient and kind

That’s not frivolous.

That’s valuable.

And honestly… in busy, full, sometimes overwhelming seasons of life — that kind of support matters.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t take that lightly.

🌸 A Simple (Budget-Friendly) Way to Try This

You don’t need an expensive bouquet.

One of my favorite little hacks:

👉 A rose bowl of carnations

They’re:

  • affordable
  • long-lasting
  • and when styled simply, they look so elegant

This blog post on elegant ways to arrange carnations will give you even more ideas.

Sometimes it’s not about more.

It’s about choosing something small… that makes your space feel like a place you want to be.

This Week’s Gentle Invitation

Bring flowers into your home.

That’s it.

Notice how you feel when you walk past them.
Notice if you soften, even just a little.

Small inputs.
Real impact.

Sending much love and spring flowers your way,

P.S. Flowers aren’t just pretty — they’re a simple way to support your mood, your nervous system, and even how you relate to others. Sometimes the smallest, most beautiful choices are the ones that change the most. 🌸✨
