💡A new Wellness Sunday idea for you..

Hey hey Reader

I hope you’re having a great weekend! It’s time for another quick wellness strategy tip and today's topic is scenting your home!

NEW SUNDAY WELLNESS IDEA: Essential Oil Diffusers

Let’s talk about something that might be quietly messing with your wellness—those scented plug-ins and air freshener sprays.

I used to think they were just harmless little puffs of freshness.

But once I started learning about what’s actually in those things… yikes.

Most commercial air fresheners (yes, including the popular plug-ins) are loaded with phthalates, benzene derivatives, and synthetic musks—chemicals linked to hormone disruption, allergic reactions, and even respiratory problems.

🧪 A 2007 report by the Natural Resources Defense Council found phthalates in 12 out of 14 common air fresheners—even the ones labeled “natural.”

Another study in Environmental Impact Assessment Review (2011) found that even “green” and “organic” air fresheners released hazardous air pollutants.

In other words, you might be trading the smell of fresh linen for a big fat headache (and a hormone imbalance 😬).

So what’s the alternative?

A diffuser. With real, plant-based essential oils.

Not only do essential oils smell incredible, but many of them actually help purify the air and calm your nervous system.

Lavender, eucalyptus, and tea tree oils, for example, have antimicrobial properties.

🌿 A 2020 study in Molecules found that essential oils can reduce airborne bacteria and improve indoor air quality.

🌬️ Another study in Frontiers in Public Health showed that diffusing lavender oil helped lower cortisol levels and heart rate—hello, calm!

Personally, I love setting my diffuser in the morning with a “focus blend” and switching to something calming in the evening.

🧠 My focus blend: 4 drops Wild Orange & 4 drops Peppermint CND or USD

🌟 🧠 My super focus blend: 2 drops Frankincense, 2 drops Rosemary, 2 drops Peppermint and 2 drops Lemon CND or USD

😌 My calm evenings blend: 4 drops Lavender & 4 drops Northern Escape Blend CND or USD

It’s such a small ritual, but it totally shifts the energy in my home—and my mood.

So if your plug-in habit needs a little upgrade, consider making the switch.

Here's my absolute diffuser CND & USD. It's small, easy to use, and lasts FOREVER. Seriously this little beauty has been working daily in my home for over 8 years!
